Fall Is Made for the Tasting Trail 🍂
I say it all the time—the Central PA Tasting Trail is one of the best ways to really see the tremendous sights of Happy Valley and Centre County, and I think fall might just be the very best time to do it. The leaves are changing, the weather is perfect for a road trip, and our breweries, wineries, cideries, and distilleries are packed with new releases, live music, great food, special events, and plenty of reasons to stay awhile. This fall, we’re also rolling out our modified Tasting Trail Passports, giving you a new way to explore the Trail, revisit some old favorites, and discover a few places you may have been missing. So grab your passport, grab some friends, and make a day of it. Follow the Trail—you might be surprised by how much of Centre County you discover along the way.
CIDER.
Crisp. Local. Unexpectedly Different.
Think you know cider? Think again. We give you four very different ways to experience this Pennsylvania favorite—from cider made on a family farm and orchard to elevated cider wines, award-winning pours and a little bit of magic. This fall is the perfect time to discover them all.
BEER. Fall Brews, Live Music & Plenty of Reasons to Gather
Central PA's craft breweries are about much more than what's on tap. This fall, follow the Central PA Tasting Trail to discover live music, Oktoberfest celebrations, trivia, food trucks, outdoor adventures and some seriously good locally brewed beer.
Beer Meets the Outdoors
At the base of Rothrock State Forest, Boal City Brewing has built a gathering place where craft beer, outdoor adventure and community come together.
And their fall calendar is packed- and their penchant for giving and the outdoors is untouched! Good beer. Good people.

September 12 — Bird & Bard Catch the final episode of Season One of Bird & Bard beginning at 8 PM.
September 17 — Kate & Jules Classic rock, blues and Americana from 7–9:30 PM.
September 24 — Homecoming Weekend Music Kate & Jules welcome special guest Daryl Branford for a special Homecoming weekend performance.
September 27 — Outdoor Yoga Start Sunday with an all-level outdoor yoga session.

Inside a massive revitalized factory along Logan Branch in Bellefonte, Axemann pairs its beer with an equally impressive lineup of activities and special events.

Grab a partner and race against other teams to finish your puzzle first.
🐱 September 23 — Kitty Yoga with Centre County PAWS
Yoga gets considerably cuter when kittens are involved. Sessions are scheduled for 6 PM and 7:30 PM, with proceeds benefiting Centre County PAWS.
🍺 September 24 — Pennsylvania Steinholding Competition
Think you can hold a full stein longer than everyone else? Axemann hosts a Pennsylvania State Steinholding Championship qualifying competition at 7 PM.
🎉 COMING THIS FALL — 7th Annual Axemann Oktoberfest
One of Axemann's signature celebrations returns with Oktoberfest festivities at the brewery.
Philipsburg
Head west on the Trail and discover one of its newest brewery experiences in downtown Philipsburg.
The Dead Canary Brewing Company is continuing to grow. For those who don't know they have expanded into the space next door to the taproom and use it for extra seating and private events! The Dead Canary team have now set their eyes on distribution. We are working on setting up our taproom with the right equipment and plenty of kegs. The team is very excited to get more of our beer to more people (cans included!).
Regular monthly events, (many of which are family friendly: trivia, line dancing, open mic, and more!), food truck pop ups, and live performances every weekend-please follow our socials or drop by the taproom to stay updated with all we have going on!

Wine. Fall Views Taste Better with Local Wine
If fall is the best time to explore the Tasting Trail—and we think it is—our wineries give you four pretty great reasons to get out and enjoy it.
From vineyard views and Friday-night music to campfires, harvest celebrations, pizza nights and a little bingo, there's much more happening at our wineries than simply stopping in for a tasting.
SPIRITS. Fall Calls for a Good Cocktail
There’s more than beer, wine and cider waiting along the Trail. Fall is a great time to discover the locally distilled spirits—and some seriously creative cocktails—being made right here in Centre County.
